Despite unsuccessful first single and album under the Nippon Columbia label in 1995 (both of the rap genre), she debuted in the pop scene with poker face under the Avex Trax label in 1998 and thousands of fans attest to her attractiveness and musical potential. During this time she began to appear actively in magazines, variety programs, and gravure websites, and at this time changed her name.
